About Seagrove
Seagrove community was founded back in the 1940s by C.H McGee. He was only envisioning 170-acres of concrete block cottages, a deeded beach, a general store, and sand roads. All Seagrove Beach had to its name back then was a narrow little road, sand dunes, and a forest. Almost a century later, the Seagrove Beach community is buzzing with activity with so many shops, residences, restaurants, and condominiums.
Two of South Walton’s coastal dune lakes are found in Seagrove beach. Even though it is doesn’t look anything like it did during the days of C.H McGee, the magic and beauty of this place aren’t lost and its beauty will still leave you in awe.
Seagrove Beach real estate looks a little bit different than other parts of 30a. 1 of the most noticeable things is the number of condominiums on the beach and across the street from The beach. There are far more condos in Seagrove Beach than any other area up-and-down 30a. Also, you will notice that there are 2 beachfront high-rise condos. This may seem normal at 1st but as you look closer these are the only 2 high-rises along 30a. The reason is after One Seagrove Place and Beachcrest were built South Walton County enacted a 50-foot building restriction on 30a.

Kitchen Market is a local’s favorite at Seagrove Beach. Whether you are looking for a tasty breakfast or picnic meals it will not disappoint. Among the things you should try here are the Drunken Shrimp Tacos, Big Bills’ Burrito, and the Texas Pimento Cheese Sandwich. Consider visiting the Santa Clara Regional beach while at Seagrove as well. It is handicap accessible with ample parking and clean restrooms. There is always a lifeguard on duty and you can borrow a book from the library if you didn’t bring one.
At Seagrove Plaza, you will find everything you need to make your time in Seagrove memorable. There is a Jewelry store, a gift shop for souvenirs, a hair salon, a bakery, and even a clothing boutique. Opposite the plaza, you’ll find Goatfeather’s Seafood market where you can buy fresh seafood. If you want your scallops or shrimp steamed that will be done at no extra cost and they even park the fish in coolers or ice for people who are going further away.
Brozinnin Pizzeria, which is next to the Donut Hut, will satisfy all your pizza cravings. The Cafe Thirty-A is a fine-dining eatery that has been in service since 1995. The menu changes based on what is on-season, but whatever it is you can be sure will e delicious.
